NCAA POOL RULES
Entries
Entries will be accepted up until the tip off of the first game. Entries not entered online will be accepted as long as they are postmarked no later than the tipoff of the first game.
Entrants may submit as many entries as the want.
All entries should include an entry name and the total points for the final game. Since you must be logged in to create a bracket, you do not have to enter your contact information.
In the event of a dispute about the identity of the online entrant, or if the identity is not clearly defined, the entry will be disregarded from the contest.
I hold the right to disallow any entry for any reason from the contest.

Payment is due by the start of the first game. If payment has not been made (or arrangements made if necessary), the entries will be removed. When paying, PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF YOUR USERNAME so that your entries can be propertly identified as being paid.

2nd place - 30% of all funds collected (less bonus prizes - see below)
3rd place - 10% of all funds collected (less bonus prizes - see below)
BONUS PRIZES
There will be a total of $50 in bonus awards given out. The breakout for the award money is as follows:
- Most points after Round 1 (based on straight up scoring) - $10
- Most "weighted" points after tournement completion - $40
Weighted points are calcuated by taking the seed and multiplying by the round. So picking a 1 seed correctly in the second round gives you only 2 points, but picking the 8 seed correctly in the second round gives you 16 points.
* Ties for the above bonus prizes will be broken based on the highest overall straight up pool scores at the end of the tournament.
Ties
Point ties for the overall scoring at the end of the contest will be determined by the following hierarchy of tie breakers:
1. Most points from the first round.
2. Most weighted points for the tournament.
3. Entrant closest to the actual point total of the final game. Note that entrants may go over the total and still be the "closest". If the final total is left blank, then "100" shall be used for the Entrant's pick.
If there is still a tie, the tied participants shall split the prize.
Conduct
I reserve the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with any entry, or an any process which might be disruptive to the web page or to the contest.
