If you listen to Mike and Mike in the Morning then you know what this is. While submitting a number of different brackets can only be considered good pool strategy, the purists will claim that submitting a single bracket is the only way to prove your worth. The bracket of integrity is meant to be a bridge between the two philosophies. Just select one of your brackets as your "best" and see how it does against everyone else's "best"

After submitting your brackets, go to the pool summary page and choose your bracket to designate. Make sure to do this before the tournament begins. After the tournament starts you'll be able to filter some of the results to show only those that were designated as a Bracket of Integrity. There aren't any bunuses this year for it, but it'll atleast drive some bragging rights. Some of you brought to my attention that my site isn't very mobile friendly when it comes to looking at the standings. Well, its not the end all be all, but I've put together a quick standings page that provides a very raw view of the current results. Simply type in "http://www.cincybeerman.com/marchmadness/mobile" in your mobile device's browser and you should see a simple standings table. For those of you who have joined us before, please note a change in how the bonuses are awarded this year. Instead of the upset bonus prize there will be a significant bonus for the winner based on a weighted scoring system that awards you for picking more upsets. Check the rules for more details on the bonus prizes and how the weighted scoring will work. New to the Beerman pool this year is the ability to create groups and add specific entries to those groups. The idea is simply that the group provides an alternate view of the pool that focuses only on a specific set of entries. Its a simple idea that has a lot of uses, but the most basic example is one in which a group of office workers wants to have a side bet. In this case they can create a private group, add their entries to the group, and view a group leaderboard that provides scores for only those entries. The only thing I ask is to not ask me to collect money for any side bets. The feed that I used to figure out the results also provides me with close to real time game info. So I figured.. why not provide a scoreboard so you don't have to head over to ESPN to get the latest. The scores are updated every 2 minutes. Hope you find it helpful.

I'm happy to announce that you'll no longer have to wait for me to manually log in and update the results before you can see your bracket standings. As of this past Sunday, the results and standings will be updated automatically within 2 minutes of the games being completed. It turns out that cnnsi uses a very readable data feed for its scoreboard, and it's this feed that drives my results.

After last year I almost decided not to host the pool again, but then I couldn't bring myself to end the tradition. If you've entered the Beerman office pool before, you'll recognize most of the features, although some of them (such as the "what if" scenarios are not implemented yet on the new architecture.
